About Me

I’m Jane, mum to two young kids, track and field athlete, wannabe gymnast, sports development professional and matresence coach. My journey into motherhood was a bumpy affair that left me struggling with postnatal PTSD, depression, chronic sleep deprivation, postnatal depletion, frustration… the list goes on. It just wasn’t what I’d expected it to be and I struggled for a long time thinking I just wasn’t cut out for motherhood, or at least I wasn’t cut out to be the mother I’d wanted to be. Then, on maternity leave with my second, I stumbled across my great teachers Amy Taylor Kabbaz and the word matresence, and Dr Oscar Serrallach and the term postnatal depletion. My mind was blown and my life was forever changed. Thanks to the work of Amy and Oscar, not only have I been able to heal many of my own wounds, I have also found “my tribe” of amazing women in a growing, global network of women, and trained as a Mama Rising Coach and Facilitator so I can coach other women, help them understand the changes that they are experiencing, go easy on themselves and work out how they can be themselves and the mum they want to be ❤️
